Putting Safety First
Safe Systems of Work
Our Drivers and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Our Operators are the back bone of our business and their own safety and everybody around them is crucial. We implement the following safe systems of work to help ensure this is achievable at all times on site.
Thumbs Up Procedure
Before any machinery is started or operated, our operators follow the “Thumbs Up” procedure. This is a visual confirmation method where every individual in the vicinity of the machine gives a clear thumbs-up signal. Only once every individual has given this signal will the machine be operated. This ensures that everyone is aware and prepared for the machine’s operation.
Red Zone Training
The Red Zone is a designated area around our machinery where there is a higher risk of injury. Access to this area is restricted to only those who have received our specialized Red Zone Training. This training ensures that individuals are aware of the dangers and know how to work safely within this zone.
